Publication Ethics
The Editor of the Journal and the Council of the Nigerian Economic Society do take reasonable steps to prevent the publication of articles with suspicious contents regarding plagiarism, double publication or other unethical actions. The copy editing process adopted by NJESS is quite strict with all anomalous content identified and clarifications sought from the author, if necessary. Where responses are unsatisfactory, the article is dropped and publication in the journal declined. This procedure is built on the double blind peer-review process which every article goes through before a decision to publish or not is taken. Over the years, this fool-proof process has enhanced the integrity of the journal as the foremost economics journal in Nigeria.
